Tuesday

Because our Sunday plans to visit the Palace of Versailles got messed up, because I forget my camera bag at the restaurant Saturday night. We moved the visit to the Palace early this morning, prior to heading to the airport later in the day.

Monday

It was a highbrow-lowbrow day, in the morning we visited the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa.  We didn't stay long because the reminder of the museum house Egyptian, Roman, Ottoman Empire Art, etc., but I've been to all these areas and seen the art first hand. The reminder of the day included a quick visit to Le Centre Pompidou, then to the Grevin Wax Museum and Chocolate Museum. The latter were D's two favorite museums.

Sunday

 

We originally planned to visit the Palace of Versailles, but instead we visited the Paris Opera House and took the guided tour. It was worth it. Then we ventured across the street to see the Paris Story Movie. We were the only two in the theater. When it was over we understood why. D even got in a nap. The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping. I purchased a casual sport jacket and linden white shirt. D purchased shoes and a two blouses. Then we prepared for the most amazing dinner at Pierre Gagnaire.

Saturday

 

 

We were typical tourist today. To the tope of the Eiffel Tower first thing in the morning, which was fine since our hotel was a only two blocks away. The to see the Van Gogh exhibition at the Musee d'Orsay (I'd put it in my top 5 art exhibits of all time). Then continued on to see Norte Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chappelle, and finally finished off with a bus tour of Paris including seeing the Arc de Triomphe, up close.

Friday

Exhausted from the flight over, we managed to stay awake, checking out the Eiffel Tower which was only two blocks from our hotel and took a Seine River Cruise, found some amazing pizza by chance for dinner and made it back to the hotel to crash for the night.

Can't Wait Until November

What can potentially be seen on the Socorror Island Trip. Video in early May 2014 by professional videographers. Incredible! Supposedly November and December is an even better time to sight Whale Sharks, hopefully the dolphins will still be there.
