Luang Nam Tha, Laos

This toilet diary's original intent was to record the different styles and models of toilets on our travels- as would be expected, after traveling for a while the toilet styles start to become redundant. How many toilets can there be? In Luang Namtha, Laos after almost six months of traveling, we did come across a different toilet style - a pedestal toilet with gravity flush. Notice there is no tank behind the toilet, there is a large jug of water next to the toilet. The jug is filled with water, which is then scooped and poured it into the toilet bowl in order to "flush" it.

Look closely, the guest house offers two "cleaning" options - toilet paper on the wall (to the right in the picture) and a spray hose with nozzle ( nozzle is not picture only the metal hose).
