Recession? Depression? Where?

The economy can not be that bad. Yesterday, during those fleeing hours, after my weekly decision to quit this film career thingy for the sixtieth time, I glanced at the jobs available on the Analytic Recruiting Website. A search on "credit" and "default" results in almost 100 job offerings in New York City Area ALONE! I'd be somewhat qualified for at least half of them. All most all of them pay in the six figures. How can this be a depression or even a recession? There are plenty of jobs.

Why work if you don't have too!
Why work in America, the "Dream is gone". Work 40 and drop dead

You where lucky today the Feds monitor the Internet and make sure all Americans have to work till they are 80.

The "dream" isn't gone. But one has to avoid the traps: mortgages and kids. Mortgages and kids are modern day slavery. And the Feds encourage both through tax incentives. People who select such a life style are sometimes known as peons, they ensure capitalist a cheap supply of labor. Just kidding, of course!

NOTE: The words peon is derived from the Spanish peón (pe'on). It has a range of meanings but its primary usage is to describe laborers with little control over their employment conditions.
