South Tarawa, Kiribati
Today, we crossed into South Tarawa from North Tarawa over the channel at low tide and spent the afternoon sailing with Sénor. He’s a native of Kiribati, who accompanied his wife to Australia for 3 years while she finished her degree. He was glad to return to his home country after completion of his sojourn and return to a fishing life style while his wife worked as a manager at the Port of Tarawa. His sailboat moved quickly, plus I enjoyed speaking with him. I wasn’t bored, unlike the following day on the South Tarawa Island tour.
