We cycled towards Dalat. The route was undulating with occasional climbs with massive fog. A bike provides a unique countryside perspective of a country. I’m especially enjoying the diversity of the agricultural sector; observing rice farming, coffee production (2nd largest producer in world, behind brazil), dragon fruit production, greenhouses, shrimp farms, etc. We rejoin the bus before the road climbed steeply to the mountain town of Dalat. We spend approximately 3.5 hours on the bus today and cycled 60km.
Dalat is a pleasant hill station, formerly known as Le Petit Paris, and has been described as the most beautiful town in Vietnam. It was favored by the French for its climate, and is now a popular honeymoon resort for the Vietnamese.
