Traveling to Wellington Via Palmerston North

Rotorua sits over an active volcano with bubbling mud pits and multi-coloured pools in different areas around the town.  On our morning drive we spotted a black swan, geothermal activity, a colonial style museum that was close due to the latest earth quake and crystal clear blue water falls. There's no lack of natural beauty in New Zealand.
