On Thursday, I saw the new Whitney Huston movie “I Just Wanna Dance with Somebody”. Nobody was in the theater except me. Then Friday I prepared the potato, mushrooms, cheese, sauerkraut, and blueberry fillings for the pierogis. Saturday morning, packed my car and drove two hrs to my Dad’s house in NJ to make the pierogis and cook the balance of the xmas eve meal during the afternoon. At six pm, everyone arrived. I must admit I was a bit resentful at first having to do all the work and everyone just shows up. However, after some reflection every seemed to have a good time. It was a great space for family to reconnect. The effort was worth it.
On Christmas morning, back in CT, organized the digitalized home movies and share them with family member, while wish everyone on social media a happy holiday. I reached out to D after a two year fallout, we connected and agreed to hangout in the spring. I worked on the family tree a bit and also sorted through a bunch of travel pics. I checkin with TC, but he seemed to be sick and distance, but I never know with him. All and all, it was a productive, fulfilling, chill, rejuvenating holiday. ☃️🎅🏾🎄🎁🍾
