MUME - Ranked 45th on the 50 Best Restaurants in Asia (2023)
- Tomato / Ginger Curd / Basil - AMAZING, except they might have cheated w/ the chunks of salt, but it worked (pic 2)
- Yilan Red Prawn / Persimmon / Lemon Balm - HUGE FAIL - the shrimp was served in oil and lost its texture. Mushy shrimp 😒! (pic 1)
- MUME Sourdough / Aged Pickled Radish Butter - Excellent!
- Seasonal Fish / Pickled Mustard Green / Mussel - Fish and side was set up perfectly with an expectation. And the expectation was met. PERFECT! Wine pairing a bit wacky but okay.
- Abalone / Water Banboo / Olive Green - The dish was decent, but not exceptional. Same weird wine pairing. (pic 3)
- Cuttlefish / Nouja / Bell Pepper - Cuttlefish looked and had the texture of pasta w/ excellent spicy sauce. (pic 5)
- Lamb Rump / Mokauy / Lucchini - Main course good, but the white chucks of the zucchini were a bit weird. Wine pairing was bad! (pic 6)
- Caromeized Apple / Mille Feville / Mountain Cimnamon - Excellent especially the cream.
- Choux Au Cracuelin / Coconut / Mongo - This last desert was fine, but there was too much waiting and I just want to get out of here! (pic 7)
Overall, the entire dinner was a bit bumpy. Two of the wine pairs were off. Services needed smoothing. However, it was worth it and worth the price! Presentation excelled!
