Good-bye Bali

Included was a full body massage at the end! Best part, there was a waterfalls right outside the massage room. The sound of the waterfall was perfect.

At the end of the day, I also got to hang w/ DC friends on my last night in Bali. They were also visiting.

Orangutans Encounter, Bali Zoo

I first noticed, that their hands were amazingly soft!!

There were two juvenile Orangutans, while I was playing with one....

...the other one stole my hat!

and dashed away...

Then the first one decide to follow the one with the hat and started climbing over me!

In the end, I got my hat back.

Initially the massive amounts of tourist and traffic during the holiday week turned me off to Bali, but then I discovered it was fairly easy to escape them. This villa overlooking the rice patties was extremely relaxing and peaceful. Last time I felt this way was about my accommodations was in my remote ocean view hut in Mozambique. Bali had the oceans, dive sites, sunsets, lush vegetation, Hindu architecture and boutique accommodations. There's no wonder why it should not be a huge tourist destination.
