By far the Iraq war has been the biggest defining event in my adult life. And even after all the evidence indicates the war was waged under false pretenses the American people still voted for Bush in 2004.
From 2004 to the end of his term, he side tracked the American news agenda to justified the war. At the same time, government regulators were allowing banks to lend to people who never truly qualified for a mortgage. And today, we have a economy in trouble - 9+ % people unemployed. And yes America turned millions of Iraqis lives into garbage, but that'd life isn't? Too bad for them. Bush and Cheney - through their families' oil holding and ties to Haliburton (military contractor) - are both a lot wealthier now, and really isn't that want counts. The price of oil sky rockets and billions of taxpayer's money was handled over the the military contractors. Why are Americans so stupid?
