There's a local legend that if an Ashanti person can remove the sword from the rock they are greater than the King. To date nobody has achieved this task.

Calabash - a local fruit grown on a tree which can be harvested young and used as a vegetable or more commonly as harvested mature, dried, and used as a bowl or utensil.
While on the city tour, we saw the King of the Ashanti people when we visited his palace museum. There was a outdoor ceremony for school children that he was hosting. He’s sitting behind the pole being fanned.
For lunch we purchased mashed ripe bananas with spices and spring onions.
