Driving thorough Guinea Villages, the kids were ALWAYS excited to see us. I'm not exactly sure why. It wasn't because we were in the only truck. There were lots of trucks, cars and motor bikes around. Perhaps it was because "tourist" were in a large yellow truck and they thought we provide "gifts". Perhaps other similar Overland trucks have passed and the kids got "gifts". Our group leader made it clear that we weren't suppose to provide and of the kids "gifts" from the truck. Otherwise it would encourage this type of behavior.
