Hlane Royal National Park
As the lions approached our safari jeep in the lion enclosure at Hlane Royal National Park the jeep stalls and wouldn’t start again. We all kept silent. The lions walked past. Our driver exits the jeep and checks under the hood. As he steps out, one of the male lions stops, turns and stares. We all freeze. The driver quickly jumps back into jeep. We all sit in absolute silence as the lion continues to stare. We’re not sure what he’ll do. We can’t do anything except sit and wait. After a few minutes he slowly turns and walks away in the opposite direction. *HUGE SIGH* from everyone in the jeep. The driver quickly exists again and tightens battery cables. Jeep starts!!! We’re off!!!
