Cheetah Kill

Amazing! We witnessed 3 cheetahs stalk and kill a gazelle! we saw the 3 cheetahs slowly walking in a line. Our guide said “they are hunting”. Then the 3rd cheetah laid low in the grass. The 1st cheetah sprinted at a lone gazelle, turned it towards the other two cheetahs, chases it for a while, but couldn’t catch it. The 3rd cheetah then sprinted after the gazelle, chases it for a bit, but couldn’t catch it either and gave up. Next it was the 2nd cheetah’s turn. The gazelle was a bit exhausted, but running for his life at top speed. The 2nd cheetah slowly, meter-by-meter gained on the gazelle, then it appears would it not to be able to capture it, but in one huge spurt,” pounces on the gazelle. We were all totally captivated. It happened so fast, none of us took a video.

Our guide mentioned he has worked in the park for 5 years and has only witnessed 3 kills. Our group was very lucky! .
