Being Pickpocket while visiting Museums, Addis Abba

Perhaps the worst day on the trip; my iPhone 7 got pickpocketed. Someone slipped their hand into my rain jacket’s pocket and removed my phone. Just prior, on the opposite side a beggar yanked super hard on my sleeve. Then about 30 steps later I search for my pocket and couldn’t find my phone. My guess is that someone was following me watched me place my phone in my pocket earlier.

 Lucky I regularly back it up, but I was about two weeks delinquent, so I did lose a few photos from the prior two weeks. I was able to recover my SLR camera photos during those 2 weeks and transferred them back. They weren’t all lost. The camera lens of the iPhone 7 was cracked and I was planning on replacing it with an iPhone X anyway. But being pickpocketed is a result of being careless and I was extremely annoyed at myself.
