Day 13 - Ha Long Bay overlook; Return to Hanoi

In the morning, before returning to Hanoi, we ventured up on overlook, albeit in the rain, for a top down view of Ha Long Bay.

Return to Hanoi late afternoon. This charming city contains many beautiful old buildings and the atmosphere is completely different from that in Saigon in the south, mainly due to the much more conservative nature of the North Vietnamese.

Upon return we visited the Hanoi Old Quarter. There Lots of street food, but it’s unclear what is good and worth trying and what is not. I walked around at night, but didn’t eat from the street vendors, because we had a group farewell dinner booked at a restaurant. I regret not participating in a street food tour here or in HCMC, but I did not have time here (in Hanoi) and when I was in HCMC there was a mini-typhoon.
