Kota Kinabalu

I arrived a few day earlier with nothing planned. When every I'm traveling I always fell guilty if I'm not out exploring. You are in a why aren't you out exploring? You may never be back here again! Do something! I signed up for a Proboscis Monkey Tour Cruise, but it was a huge waste of time. It took 2 hrs to reach the river boat, then we spent an hour searching for monkeys. When we spotted them, they were so far away it was difficult to photograph them. Then we had dinner and drove 2 hrs back to Kota Kinabalu. It was defiantly not worth it. Only added bonus was we spotted a crocodile.

Best photo of a Proboscis monkey. :-(

This Curry Laksa from the food court in the mall was excellent!

The most interesting exhibit award at the Sabah National Museum goes to head-hunting!

I learned headhunting wasn't a form a cannibalism, but a demonstration of bravery and maturity.  The heads were the trophies.

Second best exhibit award goes to this whale skeleton.

Nearby was the Sabah Islamic Civilization Museum. I check it out, but it was very ordinary.  Nothing  compared to the Islamic Museums in the Middle East.

More decent spicy vegetables and stuffed fish ball soup from the mall's food court.  It was located next to my accommodations and easily accessible! I've eaten soup almost everyday while in Asia. I <3 :-="" p="" soup="">
