Mt Kinabalu - Hike to Basecamp

On the first day we hike the trails near the park headquarter, then overnighted at the nearby chalet. On the second day we hiked 6 kilometers while gaining 1525 meters to basecamp, where we spend the night in dorms and enjoyed the sunset.

Kinabalu Park is a designated UNESCO site in the State of Sabah on the northern end of the island of Borneo, and it's dominated by Mount Kinabalu (4,095 m), the highest mountain between the Himalayas and New Guinea. It has a very wide range of habitats, from rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest to tropical mountain forest, sub-alpine forest and scrub on the higher elevations.
