Ambohimanga is a hill and traditional fortified royal settlement (rova) in Madagascar, located approximately 24 kilometers (15 mi) northeast of the capital city of Antananarivo. The hill and its royal fortified city were added to the list of
UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2001.
The site wasn't all that spectacular, but the interesting to see the type of influence the European had on the Malagasies early on.
