History Museum
Prior I didn't know a lot about Sweden history, apparently it all started about 1000 AD greatly influenced by Christianity and the Vikings.
Skansen
This place seem to be very popular to parents with small kids. It was basically a zoo set in a historical setting. Overall, it was a bit boring and depressing.
Vasa Ship Museum
While the reconstruction of the ship is extraordinary. The story was a bit foretelling of the Swedish empire. The ship was supposed to be a symbol of Sweden's dominance and superiority. It sunk before it left the harbor.
ABBA Museum
I never was a huge fan of ABBA music. But I found the museum very intriguing, entertaining and informative.

Stockholm City Tour
Other than the ABBA museum and the serendipitous pride parade, Stockholm didn’t have much to offer, in my opinion. It’s a very old city, in terms of buildings, people, and activities. There aren’t many youth around, mostly older people. My observation might be biased coming from the DRC, where kids are everywhere, but still. There’s museums, “shopping” in the old town, palaces and old buildings to visit, boat rides to take, but not a lot of major “creative destruction” occurring.
In one of the museums there’s an old ship that was built in the 17th century as a symbol of Sweden’s pride and dominance. It sank in the harbor on the day it was set into the water. Nevertheless, the country seems to be doing well economical as a result of their left-leaning, environmentally-aware, very homogenous populace. Perhaps, if I return, I’ll spend more time in the country-side and less time in the Stockholm.

Pride
I arrived on the train at 3pm and the Sweden Gay Pride Parade was in full swing. The parade was taking place outside my hotel window. I sat and watched it from my 3rd floor hotel room window.
Moderna Museet - Arthur Jafa
It was a bit weird traveling Stockholm and finding an African-American Artist being featured at their Modern Art Museum. I didn't get the art either. It seemed like a collection of paper cutting, pictures and music most of African-American memorabilia.
