Day #2 - Ha'apai , Tonga – “Roger” the Juvenile Male
Roger hung around for a long time and loved to show off. He swam close to everyone as if he was saying “hi” to each of us. He would even swim into our group dividing us. His proximity to some of the swimmers was a bit startling, but he, like all the other humpback whales, had an amazing sense proximity and never once touched us. Eventually, he tired of us and we tired of him, so we got back on the boat. The overall experience was very exciting.
