Local legend also claims the doves nearby are pure white because of the sanctity of the mosque itself; if a black dove or dove with specks of color flies in and stays, it too will turn white as snow.

Blue Mosque or "Shrine of Ali" or "Rawze-e-Sharif” Mazar-i-Sheik
Religious history can be very complicated (aka contradictory). According to a local legend, the Shire of Ali or Blue Mosque or Rawze-e-Sharif is where Ali (cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad) is buried, that if as he isn’t buried in the Imam Ali Mosque, Najaf, Iraq as at most Muslims believe. Mazar-i-Sheik local legend claims that the body was move from Najaf to Mazar-e-Sherif, which their claim that Ali is buried in Mazar-a-Sherif.
Local legend also claims the doves nearby are pure white because of the sanctity of the mosque itself; if a black dove or dove with specks of color flies in and stays, it too will turn white as snow.
